Assistant Professor of Legal Research and Writing
Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law is seeking two full-time Legal Research and Writing professors to join our collaborative LRW faculty team beginning in fall 2022. The LRW faculty creates all course materials together and provides each other with significant support. The position comes with a market-competitive salary, employment benefits, and typically carries the initial title of Assistant Professor of Legal Research and Writing. The position is part of a well-defined Legal Research and Writing career track with voting rights, eligibility for promotion, and opportunities for renewable multi-year contracts.
Applicants must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, possess excellent academic credentials, be committed to teaching Legal Research and Writing, and support the goals and mission of the University. Applicants should have at least two years, ideally four years, of post-J.D. experience in a position or positions requiring substantial legal writing.
