Legal Writing Lecturer
Baylor Law seeks to fill two full-time lecturer faculty positions within the required Legal Writing Program. Responsibilities include working with other faculty members of the Baylor Law Writing Program to create, teach, and grade assignments for various writing courses.
The second position focuses primarily on drafting in the litigation and appeals contexts. Courses taught will include a second-year pretrial litigation drafting class as well as the first-year course in appellate advocacy and procedure. The position requires three years of legal writing experience.

Working with other faculty members of the Baylor Law Writing Program to create, teach and grade assignments for the Legal Analysis, Research & Communications classes and coordinating all of the writing efforts across all three years of the curriculum to ensure consistency and best management of resources.
Candidates must possess a juris doctor.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of legal writing experience.

The position has the rank of lecturer. A lecturer at Baylor completes a probationary period of six years (similar to tenure-track faculty members), after which a lecturer can apply for promotion to senior lecturer.
