You may view a Georgetown Law campus map here.
All conference attendees (as well as any guests who attend the Gala) must fully comply with the COVID-19 policies and guidelines in effect at our host school, Georgetown University Law Center, as well as at our Gala venue, the National Postal Museum.
Georgetown’s Event and Visitor Guidelines can be found here. NOTE: With limited exceptions, attendees will need to follow the University’s protocol for verifying their vaccination status prior to visiting the Law Center. Please give yourself adequate time to complete this step before you arrive to avoid any inconvenience. See below.
The Museum’s Visitor Guidelines can be found here.
Please review them before you register. Because these policies may evolve over time, please check the LWI website prior to the conference to ensure your compliance with the COVID-19 policies in effect at the time of the conference. In addition, conference registrants will be emailed specific instructions prior to the conference regarding how to comply with Georgetown’s COVID-19 Policy for campus visitors, including how to request a medical or religious exemption. In registering for the conference for you (as well as your guest, if applicable), you agree to comply with the Covid-19 Policies at the host school and gala venue, which are in effect at the time of the conference.
Early bird registration is $475 until April 30. All presenters and attendees should register as "conference attendees."
Sponsorships are also available. Please see the registration website for more details.
The Legal Writing Institute (LWI) will award need-based grants of up to $1,000 each to LWI members to assist in paying the costs of attending the 20th Biennial Conference from July 20-23, 2022, at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.
There is so much to see and do in our fair city, from museums to monuments to misadventures. It's a great town for families and foodies, runners and readers, hipsters and historians, politicos and poets.
Please use this link to book your room at the conference hotel. https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/WASRW/G-LW22
The conference hotel is the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill, 400 New Jersey Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C., United States, 20001, a five-minute walk to Georgetown Law, and a short walk (5-15 minutes) to the Capitol, Union Station, The Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, the United States Botanic Garden, the Smithsonian Museums, and world-famous monuments.
We plan to gather for our traditional gala at the National Postal Museum, another short walk (5 to 10 minutes) from Georgetown and the Hyatt. A gala guest ticket is $115, and each registrant is limited to one adult guest only.
Our thanks go to all of our law school and commercial sponsors for their continued support and making yet another LWI biennial conference possible.
