The LWI Board of Directors establishes LWI's policies and priorities, and Board members contribute to the planning and operation of LWI's publications, projects, events, conferences, and workshops. The Board works closely with more than 20 committees made up of volunteer LWI members to carry out these initiatives. Board members serve four-year terms, with about half the members elected every two years. The Executive Committee of the Board consists of these officers: the President, President-Elect, Immediate Past-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Host School Director.
Legal Writing Institute Board of Directors 2018-2022
The Legal Writing Institute is beginning its 2018 election process to fill seven “director-at-large” positions on the Institute’s Board of Directors. For a full explanation of the nomination and balloting procedures, click here.

Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, February 1, 2018. If you are a member of the Institute as of January 15, 2018, you may nominate yourself or any other Institute member as a candidate for election.
Deadline for nominations. Only Google form nominations submitted on or before 8:00 p.m. EST February 1, 2018 will be accepted. The Institute will reject any nominations sent after that time. The timeliness of nominations will be determined by the timestamp on the Google form.
