The Legal Writing Institute is pleased to follow our inaugural New Teacher Training Bootcamp with our first Spring Bootcamp--a one-day virtual workshop focused on teaching second semester legal writing. As with the initial bootcamp, “new” doesn’t just mean “brand new”–anyone in their first few years of teaching the first year legal writing course can benefit from the bootcamp! And “teachers” includes all teachers of 1L legal writing, including new full-time faculty, fellows, and adjunct faculty.

The bootcamp will be hosted virtually by Temple University, Beasley School of Law and provides an introduction to teaching second-semester 1L legal writing from expert legal writing faculty as well as advice from more junior colleagues. Topics include teaching persuasion and oral argument, classroom activities and exercises, and professional development. There will also be opportunities to socialize and network with facilitators and other participants.
