THE UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO COLLEGE OF LAW seeks to hire an entry-level, tenure-track faculty member in the area of Civil Procedure and Appellate Advocacy for its Boise location. The faculty member will be responsible for directing and teaching in the College’s Advanced Advocacy program, teaching Civil Procedure, and teaching one other course in consultation with the Dean.  The faculty member will also be responsible for developing mentoring relationships with students, advising students on curricular and co-curricular activities, and developing a scholarly, outreach, and engagement agenda that will enrich the scholarly and legal communities and those they serve. Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited school or the equivalent, a distinguished academic record, and a record of excellence or related experience in teaching, scholarship, and creating a safe, welcoming, and dynamic learning environment of belonging for all students.  Preferred qualifications include post-J.D. practice, clerking, or teaching experience;  expertise in the above-mentioned subjects; and experience directing or managing a team in the academic setting.  The University of Idaho is a comprehensive research institution, providing opportunities to study law at the College’s two locations in Moscow and in Boise.
