Lewis & Clark Law School

Lewis & Clark Law School, located in beautiful Portland, Oregon, invites applications for four tenure-track faculty positions beginning in July 2026. We welcome applications from entry-level candidates across all areas of legal scholarship. We are particularly interested in candidates committed to teaching one or more of the following subjects:

● Property

● Torts

● Professional Ethics

● Lawyering

We are also open to candidates with expertise in Intellectual Property or Wills and Trusts.

All positions are tenure-track under our unitary tenure system.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a J.D. (or equivalent) and should demonstrate:  record of academic excellence; meaningful academic or practice experience; a passion for teaching and service; and a record of, or strong potential for, scholarly achievement.  We value diversity and encourage applicants whose backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives will enrich our community and contribute to a more inclusive and respectful learning environment.

Lewis & Clark Law School is nationally recognized for excellence in Environmental Law,

Animal Law, Advocacy, and Lawyering.  It also has strong offerings in Business Law and Criminal Law and was recently named among the schools recommended for Civil Rights and Public Interest Law.
