Assistant/Associate Professor of Legal Writing
The University of Alabama School of Law seeks qualified applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Legal Writing. This position is a 9-month, non-tenure-track position with an initial three-year contract term beginning in August 2025.
The successful candidate will teach two sections in the first-year Legal Writing program and will also develop an upper-level writing or drafting course and teach that course twice during the three-year contract.
Applicants must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and a strong academic record. Applicants must demonstrate effective legal writing skills and should be admitted to and in good standing with a state bar. Preference will be given to applicants with four or more years of legal experience and to applicants with teaching experience. Salary and benefits will be competitive.
