Conference Eats

With thanks to Kim Holst and Brian Larson, here are some suggested restaurants across a variety of flavors, neighborhoods, and price points.

Minari

Off the beaten path in Northeast Minneapolis, but worth the Uber ride.

Gai Noi

Overlooks a park that would be perfect for a walk after dinner.

Khaluna

A little farther from downtown, but worth the ride for very tasty Lao fusion.

Zelo

Great pasta on Nicollet Mall, another nice spot for a walk after dinner. No outdoor seating.

W.A. Frost

A lovely taste of St. Paul, especially with a patio reservation and nice weather.

Barcelona

Spanish tapas in the trendy, walkable North Loop.

Porzana

Argentine steakhouse in the North Loop.

Berlin

Jazz club with good food. For conversation, reserve a table farther from the stage and check who is playing that night.

Indigena by Owamni

James Beard Award-winning Indigenous restaurant, now located in the Guthrie Theater. Reservations strongly recommended.

Hai Hai

Great Vietnamese and Southeast Asian flavors with a lively, memorable vibe.

Pizzeria Lola

New York/Korean-inspired pizza and pastas.

The Market at Malcolm Yards

A food hall with many stalls and easy group ordering—you pay once when you exit.
