Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Law
Jacksonville University College of Law is hiring one or more faculty members this year. We especially welcome applicants who teach LRW as part of their teaching package. Our full job description is below.
Jacksonville University College of Law invites applications from both entry-level and lateral candidates for one or more full-time, tenure-track positions for the 2026-27 academic year
The College of Law has particular interest in faculty who will teach bar preparation (a required 3-credit course at JU), legal writing, property, contracts, corporations, and other transactional courses; however, as a newer law school looking to substantially grow our faculty over the next few years, we welcome applications from candidates in all areas of expertise. Flexibility in teaching across the curriculum and experience with the ABA accreditation process will be highly valued, as will appreciation and enthusiasm for the unique challenges and opportunities of building a new law school.
All positions require a JD or equivalent degree and all tenure-track candidates must show a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Candidates who would prefer a non-tenure-track position focused on teaching and service may indicate that in their cover letter. We strongly encourage applications from people of color, women, LGBTQ+ people, veterans, and others whose background and life experiences contribute to the diversity of our faculty and the law school.
Applications and any questions may be emailed directly to lawhiring@ju.edu; all candidates invited to interview will be asked to submit materials through the JU central hiring portal as well. Applications should include a cover letter, CV, and list of three references, along with any other material you would like the committee to consider, such as a scholarly agenda or teaching evaluations. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
