Associate or Full Clinical Professor of Law
Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, Arizona State University
The Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University invites applications for two full-time positions commencing in August 2027 to teach first-year and upper-level courses in the College of Law’s #1 ranked Legal Method and Writing program. Both entry-level and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
By hiring two additional faculty members, we will be able to keep our class sizes small and offer students the attention and feedback that are the hallmarks of legal writing pedagogy, as well as engage in the innovative initiatives that define the culture of ASU. The positions offer a professional environment with job security that exceeds the requirements of ABA Standard 405(c).
These are full-time, benefits-eligible appointments. An entry-level appointment would be as a probationary academic professional, on track to continuing status, under the university title of Associate Clinical Professor of Law. An experienced candidate meeting the law college’s criteria for continuing status may be eligible for an appointment with continuing status, under the university title of Clinical Professor of Law. Information about Academic Professionals at ASU, including status, rank, titles, and appointment categories, can be found at https://www.asu.edu/aad/manuals/acd/acd505-03.html.
